Effie Love efki.jpg

Effie believes that when the body talks to us we need to listen. The body can talk in many ways. Pain and stress are all blockages of Energy and are one way for the body to ask us for help.

Effie listens with her hands and works to help solve these blockages.

She is trained in therapeutic massage, Reiki level 2, and combines them with Acupressure points in her treatments. By listening, she understand exactly what the body needs and provides the best treatment: Sports Massage, Deep-Tissue or good Relaxing massage.

Massage is beneficial for a great variety of problems including muscle pain, migraine, stress, sport injuries and digestion problems.  Research suggests that a regular massage is also a highly effective way to maintain healthy blood pressure and good circulation.  It can be a  prevention as well as a cure.

Massage compliments the benefits of chiropractic care.  Together they work on the skeletal and muscular systems to help your body and spirit reach its potential, free from stress and pain.

I first became involved in Reiki in 1998, receiving treatment for back pain. I was so impressed I then went on to train and became a Reiki Master in 2001. This prompted me to look at other Holistic therapies so I took a break from my teaching career, went back to college and completed a Diploma in Holistic Therapies in 2004.

Since then I have worked for an Aromatherapy company and run my own salon. I’ve also taken additional courses in Hot Stone therapy, deep tissue massage, Hopi ear candling, Indian head massage and, most recently, Balinese massage.

My approach is very holistic, and I sometimes combine treatments in order to achieve the best outcome for my client. This means that no two sessions are ever exactly the same, but my clients get the treatment appropriate for their needs.

Marion is a qualified Medical Herbalist and member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. She has been interested in health and healing for many years and has a background in pharmacology, which particularly helps when treating people already on conventional medicines (herbs can be used safely alongside allopathic medicine following advice from a qualified herbalist).

Western Herbal Medicine is a holistic therapy in which the overall health of the person is assessed so that herbs, along with nutritional and lifestyle advice, can be used to gently encourage more balance and better functioning of the body. The aim is to harness the body’s ability to heal itself and a herbal remedy is tailored specifically for each individual.

As there is a focus on improving general health, the list of conditions that can be improved using herbal medicine is endless, however, stress, digestive problems, skin conditions, hormonal imbalances, allergies and hypertension are all commonly treated.
